Legendary! This could be a tourist attraction-I’d come get my photo taken in here! :-) Good on you guys- skiing in a snow storm rather than freezing to death

  12. krzystoff says:

sensational!! I envy your Turdis – I want one!!

Eoin — “Yes, the Turdis, is dimensionally transcendental.’

all it’s missing is a flashing red beacon on top, to warn people of it’s imminent departure — wherever did you find a police box in NZ ??

  13. Paul Askin says:

As a Dr Who fan, this is classic – although, I think the new Tardis is roomier inside? :)

  14. Amanda says:

Hey thanks for your kind comments everyone, am flushing red! The key to the Turdis is a Dr Who keychain so it even makes the Dr Who theme music. My husband made the Tardis awhile back cos we’re Dr Who fans big time. No Captains log in there!! :-)

  15. Kim says:

The guy in this Youtube video probably mistook the real thing for this bathroom.

    Shaz, there’s a very long queue….

  24. Paula says:

Is this the bed that was made and you were trying to sell on Trademe?

  25. hmm says:

Not meaning to be harsh or anything but… (especially seeing as now this has become a competition with monetary value) shouldn’t the fact that this is NOT a long drop on http://www.showusyourLONGDROP be a problem? Cute and fun design all the same! :)

  26. Who says:

Definitely the loo with the funniest name, but isn’t this more of a short-drop than a long-drop?

  27. Pat says:

Neat idea, but I thought the competition was for long drops, not chemical toilets. Just a gentle observation.

    • admin says:

Thanks for your comments and observation. Although this isn’t technically a ‘Long Drop’ I think it is great photo and fits in with the spirit of the website which is to help lift peoples spirits and put a smile on a few faces. It is obvious from the voting that people are enjoying the photo. So we have decided to allow the photo to remain in the competition and will let the top three winners be decided by the peoples vote. But because of this small technicality we have decided we will not be including any new photos of chemical toilets on the website. We are also working on some spot prizes so every photo will have a chance to win a prize.

      • Amanda says:

Didn’t even realise it was a competition, happy to withdraw. :-) Was jsut trying to people smiling. Cheers.

Your email bounced back so was unable to email you. Could you please email me using our contact form with your phone number so we can contact you if you are a winner? I think the photo is great and it looks like lots of people agree. I’m happy to leave the photo on the site. If you are one of the top 3 and you aren’t happy with accepting the prize you could possibly give the prize to the next entry. We are trying to organise some spot prizes so you could still be in with a chance to win a prize for another category. The votes are made by the people and the people are saying they love your photo, so it would be a shame to remove it at this stage.

  28. Denise says:

Forget the haggle over long drops versus chemical toilets. What about the dilema of the ” no jeans drop” of the occupant in the photo ???? Are patrons really too anxious to be caught with their pants down since the quake. Spare a thought also for those who can no longer get a proper read in before the press / playboy starts to rattle !!.

  29. ???? says:

This is a disgrace to Doctor Who >=(
